Scott’s Successful Property Transformation
Escalating costs threaten property development project
Scott Keddie owned a home with a spacious section in Sandringham. Recognising its property development potential, Scott initially planned to demolish the home and build an apartment block. After developing detailed plans and obtaining council consent, he was faced with escalating construction costs that threatened the project’s profitability.
Seeking a more viable solution, Scott turned to Ashcroft Homes. Experienced Ashcroft Property Development Consultant, Josh Healey, discussed Scott’s property goals and assessed the site. Josh proposed a strategic shift: instead of an apartment block, why not retain the original house and add four additional two-bedroom homes, subdividing the land into five separate titles?
Upon reviewing the new property development scenario, Scott realized it was the more financially sensible option. He gave Ashcroft Homes the green light to proceed, engaging them to manage the consenting, construction, and subdivision. With the project now completed, Scott has turned his initial challenge into a rewarding venture.
The Ashcroft Homes team have been truly professional across our recent property development, successfully managing our consenting, subdivision and construction process. Communication was always thorough throughout the process which built strong confidence in the team from day one, delivering on their promise and in our case, we finished our project earlier than planned. We’re incredibly happy with the result and look forward to the opportunity to work with Ashcroft Homes again in the future.
