Insider Knowledge Results in Ashcroft Appointment
Experienced developer chooses Ashcroft.
Operating a large earthwork moving business Mike van Hest works with many Auckland building companies which provides him with a great insight into their day-to-day practices on site. It was with this knowledge, that when it came time to choose a building partner for his first in-fill housing project, his first call was to Ashcroft Homes. And since that initial call, Mike has completed two new house builds and has another two builds in the pipeline, all working with Ashcroft Property Development Consultant Phil MacEwen.
An experienced property developer and investor, Mike’s most recent project involved the building of two new 4-bedroom homes for immediate resale. Two critical factors for the project’s success were timelines and quality. Mike needed the homes to be built quickly to keep his finance costs to a minimum which would improve his bottom line. It was also essential that the final quality of both builds was excellent, with no corners cut. This would ensure great demand and a quick sale when the homes went to market.
This project took 12 months from start to finish even with an interruption from a global pandemic!
Mike tells us, once again the Ashcroft team provided outstanding service throughout the entire build journey which contributed greatly to the results he achieved.

I think Ashcroft Homes have done an excellent job of building and delivering these latest homes for me. Having my own business to manage, I love that Ashcroft provide me with a great team of people and I don’t have to worry about the organizing and running of the finer project details. Ashcroft’s experience and expertise play a big factor in the success of these developments and I look forward to working with them again soon.
